Zelda Hylian Shield Locket - skyward sword by thebluekraken
Zelda Hylian Shield Locket - skyward sword
This one is a personal project. It's not my usual work to make fan based items though the circuit boards are nothing new. the construction is all sterling silver with a plate added in the front with different colored golds (rose gold yellow gold a 18k white gold) the triangles on the bail are copper. you can see some of the making photos on my twitter. the back side is engraved. the inside has a pearler finish that's done by hand not machine. the blue insert inside is to protect the back of the circuit board and all the pins holding the metal work to the circuit. its large enough and deep enough to store a flash card or two and its not exactly light weight. I made it to be durable and sturdy. i like the idea of it lasting a long time and not being made of cheap thin pressed brass. a lot of the zelda based pendants offered on line are also made of cheap base metals and i just wanted something nicer. before anyone asks yes ive played the game. ive played quite a few zelda games.

Hybrid Lunar Moth Pendant by thebluekraken
Hybrid Lunar Moth Pendant
the moth I used for this is a cross between isabella and the chinese lunar moth. one moth is green with black veins, the other is pink and green so you end up with a pink and green moth with dark wing veins. pretty pleased with the end results for this. i used some auto paint pigments with resin to get the pink that's on the moth. the rest is circuit board, nickel silver, bronze, and sterling

Such wonderful ideas! Very ingenious and excellently made jewelry! Clap  I've saved up so many old computer parts over the years that I just might have to give something like this a bash :) (Smile)  I look forward to seeing your future pieces!

You have an incredible gallery! The use of motherboards and circuitry makes for such intriguing textures and patterns! Not to mention that it is recycling! ;-)
