Birthstone color locket by thebluekraken
Birthstone color locket
Another commission piece. A simple oval locket in a peridot color in all sterling silver. the face was simple. The engraving and finishing took more time. The interior finish is usually used in watches and clocks and is called perlage. It's done usually using a drill press. I don't have any large equipment though so i had to make due and find other methods.

You have an incredible gallery! The use of motherboards and circuitry makes for such intriguing textures and patterns! Not to mention that it is recycling! ;-)

Hi I came across this other artist who also works with circuit boards and thought you might be interested in taking a look.  She seems to do mostly insects, but there are some neat techniques.  www.lostateminor.com/2015/04/2…  Hope you enjoy! :)

and no not in that article it was a different one on the same artist. there are about 8 or 10 articles floating around the web all with some small amount of varying information. the rest is admirable and nice to look at.

hi yes thanks ive seen it before as well as lots of other comments from her. she says shes helping raise awareness for endangered insects somewhere but im not seeing it with many of the mainly fantasy insects she makes. i haven't found mentions of specific species shes tried to bring any attention to.

Oh interesting, I didn't see that!  Maybe she just means to raise awareness in general and not a specific species?  hmm, not sure.  But definitely pretty to see! Thanks so much and can't wait to see your next piece! :)
