i like the contrast and pickling doesnt remove oxidation from nickel silver once its heated. it doent tend to change on its own like brass or coopper

oh yeah i'm doing the same things with my mokume plates
because the natural oxidation on cooper for example isn't such a contrasted as if you will make it by heating the detail yeah you know )))
about nickel silver, it's kinda a truble i think
but anyway nickel silver looks just more grey coloured when it's with silver hm,

Don't know any cooper patinating mixtures ?
i have seen a poison red cooper with silver
it looks amazing but i didin't found any info about such kind of patina for cooper

i think the red isn't a patina but a copper alloy mainly made by a M3. the company makes mokume gane billets for lathe workers. i dont know how the alloy is made but im sure someone has the alloy available somewhere, or the formula.
